IRGSS - Interactive RGSS

IRGSS - Interactive RGSS
Version 0.11.1

What is IRGSS? IRGSS is the Interactive Ruby Game Scripting System interpreter. What is basically does is evaluate the text input as RGSS. This is quite similar to Ruby's IRB. IRGSS has the ability to do all the things RGSS can do. This is quite useful for testing out lines of code quickly.

FAQ

No questions have yet been asked about IRGSS.

Does this run parallel to RMXP, because if not I could see very limited use for it (i.e. developing Window Classes). I think it's a great idea all-in-all.

Also, the way you've described this is pretty much ridiculous :p

What is basically does is evaluate the input of a person.

That sounds like an exam of some sort. How you've defined is sending me mixed signals.

This is just a mock up of IRB, which is a dynamic interpreter of Ruby. It's like coding in real time, as opposed to coding and then compiling. It isn't exactly a game, or a tool, that is of any significant use. It's just a very nice mimic of IRB and is awesome.

This is a great scripting tool, it really isn't for beginners, but it does help a lot in testing things in realtime without the constant trial and error factor that RGSS has within RMXP.

I'll give this one a shot later, I'm to lazy/tired to download it this early in the morning.

This is way too Awesome.

I had a lot of fun in the IRGSS =P
Built in Calculator XD

Note to people who don't understand it;
RGSS version of Command Prompt

Thank you all for your comments.

Now updated to version 0.10.0. Added feature include .rb file dumping. To start the dump, type in rb_start(filename), where filename is the name of the file to which you will dump(minus the .rb extension). To end the dump, type in rb_end.

This is way cool. Very handy tool for playing around with the code. Is there any possible way you can integrate this to use while actually playtesting a RMXP game? This would be an invaluable debugging tool.

Edit: Oh yes, I've also noticed that there aren't any controls for the cruiser location. (the forward and backward keys don't work) I'm not trying to nitpick you or anything, just trying to help bring your attention to something you may have not thought about or overlooked.

When the script reaches version "1.0.0", I'll put it into an .rb file in which you can require it in your RMXP game.
The left and right keys would just not work because of the way text is inputed. I thought about it, but it would just not work.

I have another suggestion. Maybe you could print the output on several different lines depending on the size of the string it's trying to print. For example, I tried printing the methods of the Window class and not all was displayed on the screen.
