Into The Baron's Gulch [Contest Project]

This deserves so much more attention than a lot of other games here.
I have never seen anything game-related from you Prexus, aside from screenshots. I'm impressed with this.

It has a nice Background Setting. I believe the features will add a lot to the gameplay and entertainment of the game. Also, there is your mapping, which is one of the bests here in the forums, in my opnion, oh! There's your scripting too.

Well, it is nice to finally see a main character that is not super-talented. Will him struggles with that, or be able to change it? Also, a talented man that hesitates to help on the war, due to his principles, even though cliche, is nice too, especially in that background.

Well, as I said, this deserves so much more attention, to tell the truth, the problem here is the lack of screenshots, I bet that half of the people that opened the thread, didn't read it, just searched for screens, found only one, and...

Good luck on this, keep it up.

If I don't see a cameo of The Baron in your game I will be sorely disappointed.

The features of this game is the main draw for me. I hope managing the energy bar won't be too much of an issue. It seems like the game revolves around it and if you run out of energy before an encounter you may just have to run around in circles to gain it back. That could become tedious. I am sure you will have it all balanced out though by the time the game arrives.
 
It seems another contest has driven you to come out of your cave Prex.

I like the plot it's something new to say the least. What I like even more is that the characters aren't these prominent figure heads, but more of a lower working class type. You've done a good job here and although your bigger projects always seem to run into road blocks, your contest projects never cease to impress me (thinking of the dungeon one in particular). Anyway, good luck to you.
 
This looks cool. It seems like it will have a really unique feel to the way it is played. I hope the RTP look doesn't distract too much from that, it seems like this is promising some nice originality and I hope people don't avoid it because it doesn't appear to on the surface. Reading the content of the post seals it for me. In one word, this looks bitchin'.

Question: I didn't see this in the post, but maybe I missed it. You talk about hidden enemies and stuff, but what will combat itself be like?

@Malachi he's asking for critique, I could easily say, OMFG AMAAAAZING. But then again, he wont improve will he? I'm just trying to make him do better and hopefully win. Geesh?

You didn't provide a critique. You only said "fix the story", and when he asked for details you said that you were too busy to provide them. That's some really shitty "criticism", tiger. Don't start to give feedback and then weasel out of it.
 
The system sounds very interesting. I can't wait to try it out. It's too bad that we all have to wait until the 8th of February or so :'(

At first I thought this is going to be something like exploration adventure game, but since you mention battle system, I'm interested to see what kind of battle system this game has. Hope you can update this with more info soon! :D
