Internet Connection Troubles

Alrighty... im having some werid issues with my connection or my pc. cant tell what the problem is. From whati can tell.... my PC is 100% connected to the internet. but when i try to use firefox. msn and what not it doesnt load. like when you try to use them without internet. first of all i know my internet is working sense im on my ps3. Using same connection as my pc does. anyways. anyone know the problem?

Are you using Zonealarm as your firewall? Since the last windows update changes some stuff, so Zonealarm blocks the I-net... Shut down zonealarm and download the new version of it ate the support site and it should work again.

Hope this helps

Older home routers tend to get overloaded easily, especially by software that establishes dozens or hundreds of simultaneous connections as in bit torrent.  The typical fix is to turn on filesharing apps or get a decent router.  This is especially a problem in older d-link and netgear routers.

maybe so but that wasnt my problem... cause like i said... everything else connected to router was working fine...

I was just pointing out the answer to your question as to why someone would guess the router, clearly the problem in your case was you installed useless bloatware :D

I had that similar issue- My brother was playing WoW when it happened. I was the only one affected. Thus, it was probably your router. Sure, I'm running WiFi and get disconnects every few days, but this happens w/o disconnect.
