Interesting/Odd Habits

Apparently I choose very strange places to sleep, and my eating habits fluctuate extremely, supposedly at random. The almighty list of my strangeness is as follows:

I cannot sleep in a bed - Since I was around 10, I've never been able to sleep in a proper bed better than a couch, futon, sleeping bag, or even the floor. I've never heard of anyone else who prefers these over a bed. I'm thinking my back has developed in a different way than other people's, so my idea of comfort is different. I could/should probably get a doc to check it out but I'd honestly not waste the cash or time. feel free to bet on the time of my paralysis.

Also, I sleep in day clothes - I didn't figure this one out until recently; I sleep better wearing a t-shirt and jeans as opposed to pajamas or nude or w/e. I really don't know what could cause this; maybe some sort of psychological attachment to pants? I dunno.

My eating schedule is pretty out of whack too, but that's pretty inevitable since I'm a diabetic.

Anyways anyone care to share their weirdness?

I like the feel of pyjamas. If I sleep nude I'm made very aware of my bits. I generally sleep with my hand on my crotch because any other way I can feel that I have those parts. It's weird and psychological.

If I wake up at 7 am I am cranky for an hour and then fine. If I wake up at 8 am I am just fine; if I wake up after then I am cranky, and tired somehow, all day.

i laugh at the misery of idiots
once I asked a friend I knew if anything changed in the new year. she said she stopped cutting herself. I laughed the hell out of that, and then stopped to ask her if she was seriously. She said yes and I bust out laughing again.

Also i clean my dick cause it's disgusting to have a dirty dick

I used to always do anything in fours, and if I ever made a loop I had to break it by doing the loop in reverse.

For example, I stood up from a chair and turned right. When I sat down, I turned right again, forming a circle of turning right. So I had to stand up and turn left on the spot 360. Otherwise I'd be paranoid all day because there was a fucking loop.

Or I'd knock a door five times, realise that, and have to knock it another three even if it was silently or just touching the door three times, to make it up to eight, which divides by four.

i like symetrical feelings. if you slap me on one side of my face, PLEASE slap me with equal strength on the other, because if not i would be so focused on how failful and unsymmetrical my body is feeling.

Fuuuck glad I'm not alone!

All of my books and DVDs are in chronological order and then sorted into genres with a fading effect.

Monty Python -> Ripping Yarns -> Blackadder -> Red Dwarf

(Python, -> Python fellows, -> comedy series, -> long series)

My parents bought a DVD rack that holds like a few hundred - and I spent a few hours sorting it all alphabetically.

Awesome Bro

Actually Daxis I have something like that, but not entirely...

If one hand gets wet, I MUST wet the other, even if I just spill a little pop or tea and it goes onto my hand, I rub it onto my other, no idea why, it just happens, lol.

I can't sleep without the tele turned on, it has to be in the same room as me, anything can be on, even static, I just can't sleep in silence or with music playing, however, if the music is on a channel on tele, then I can sleep, it's really weird. Also, if someone turns the tele off while I'm asleep, I'll not wake up for like 12 hours of sleep, but if they leave it on, I'll wake up after like 6-8 hours of sleep, turn it off, then go back to sleep for the remainder of the time.

When I'm chewing food I do it to a pattern from left to right, in multiples of 10, like this;

Left: 1, 2
Right: 3, 4
Left: 5
Right: 6
Left: 7, 8
Right: 9, 10

If the food isn't gone I'll use this pattern until I get to 40, where 39, 40 will end on the right side of my mouth...

I must ALWAYS have one pair of socks in my draw, if I go to my draw and there's only one pair left, I'll rob some from someone elses draw, I'm not sure why I do this, maybe incase I spill something and my socks get wet I can change them, but it's never happened yet, they just sit there and stare at me D:

When I lock the door I have to lock it, then unlock it, then lock it again, but apparently this is common, lol.

food must taste equal. not saltier than the other, or sweeter, etc. If there's steak, rice, and veggies, i gotta put a good amount of each on the spoon so that the blandness of the veggies/rice balances out the steak.

I have to chew a LOT for the harder food, fuck i'd chew a lot for anything not junk food. I don't trust my stomach acids to break down that shit into shit.

I take FOREVER to eat gummy foods. I don't bit into hard candy, just let it melt all the way down.

I am very clean when i masturbate. I don't get stuff dirty cause, frankly, that's disgusting. Take a bath after i'm done.

As I'm a RMXP/VX scripter, I often work in debug projects with pretty much everything set to default.
I just hate the default RMXP RTP title theme, so I usually turn my sound off or remove it from the database.
Sadly, when I start the project after that, I still hear the music in my head. It's pure torture.

But good to know that there are people out there, who are even weirder than me.

You're cursed.
I remove it from the database as well or, more cleverly, I just use a handy title-skipping script to bypass the title screen torture.

And for being on topic, I have no strange habits, but enjoy reading about others'.

I know, but I like to keep the original thing :)

Perhaps thats an odd habit of me too, I want to keep a copy of everything in it's original state.

i don't like watching tv. I like playing games, but I hate the time that they waste and barely play them.

I'm the #1 GPA/head of my grade, I do not study EVER
I have a friend who studies at least 28 hours a week(crazy shit i know) and I have never gotten a worse grade than him.

this is not an odd habit, this is an opportunity to brag and you know it buddy!

man, i'm really glad that there are other people like this because i did this for the LONGEST time. when i was a kid, if i stepped slightly harder on one foo than the other, i'd have to take a step back and step with equal pressure on the other foot. i would do this with door handles too especially. this is probably why my parents thought i had obsessive compulsive disorder for a long time!

i grew out of it a few years ago though - still do it a few times but mostly don't really pay attention to it.

as for an odd habit. i have this weird obsession with time, specfiics points in time speficially. think time capsules - i find them fascinating. what i do really frequently is that when i have a book or paper or wall or whatever i see often (like an agenda, a poster in my room, or a desk at school), sometimes i will write down the date, the exact time, and a word. a single word. when i come across what i wrote months or even years later, i will spend a long time reflecting back to that particular time, and feel happy that i'm past it and have moved on, that i'm older and wiser than i was back then. it's like a diary or a journal i guess except briefer and more sporadic. i like to see how my handwriting changes, what pens i used, any patterns in these recordings, etc. yes. :shades:

I always close my xterms after I'm done with an activity. I'll open a new one immediately after to do something else.

I crochet when I get nervous

I constantly plan how I'll get myself out of a mess rather than avoid the mess in the first place

yeah the gpa thing was an opportunity to brag
doesn;t really mean much especially in my school heh
but the guy really does study at last 28 hours a week, so not lying about that. I hypothesize he has 30 minutes of free time a day, assuming his mom is consistently home.

I used to have a imaginary friend. not imaginary friends, or even talking about fantasizing a better life. i used to have a imaginary friend. he had no name. he barely had an existence. the thing was, he was like someone worse than me.
now, i've recently done a lot, lot less of this, but usually i would bet him about something. I would try to do something, and bet myself/him 3 "points" if i'm able to do it or not. sometimes it'll go up to six if i lose, then 12, so on so forth. I once bet thousands. I was hugely OCD about this, betting points every other minute of the day.

I wash my face with my left hand. I don;t use a cup to get water and brush my teeth, I just cup the water in my hand, and splash it at my face, and then wipe/rub it off with my left hand. I've tried it with my right. does not work. feels abnormally wrong. If i lose my left hand, I think i'll be brushing my teeth a lot less just from that fact. or kill myself.

actually i have a lot fo ocd tendencies that are just too small to really matter i guess except can't really remember it all atm
