inFamous vs Prototype

In my opinion Prototype wins simply because its not PS3 exclusive...
My only gaming device is my $2000 laptop and when games like MGS4 become PS3 exclusive it really annoys me - seriously I got Bluray and hardware equal to 3 PS3's in a RAID 0 array...
Seriously why the hell can't I get this for comp???
Damn, I hate companies who think that the comp is an outdated worthless device...
Personally, I believe its better than any console...

The Pee Cee is always going to win. The consoles are stuck with whatever hardware they come with until the next one comes out, whereas the Pee Cee can constantly be upgraded.

Though, when you think about it, which one costs more? People complain that the Pee Ess Three costs too much.. but then they have some super expensive computer.

Nah, I'm not saying you're complaining. All I'm saying is people say the PS3 is too expensive, but anyone who plays PC games knows that you have to spend MORE than a PS3 is worth to get a good rig, and that's not even including a blu-ray player.. people is so dumb.

I got both games. I think they tie, because:

1. Both games have a problem with movement: inFamous treats you like a baby, making you grab every damn surface within two arm-lengths distance, and Prototype makes you run fast or crawl too friggin' slow.

2. inFamous takes a long time to gain XP for new Power Upgrades, but so far all of the Upgrades are totally worth the effort. Prototype allows you to get XP super fast, allowing you to buy powers quickly, but most of them are fluff powers that aren't effective on big enemies or are disappointingly underpowered.

Still, I like both games. I have mostly just been playing Prototype because I don't like switching discs in my PS3 (iz lazy).

Actually I got a Dell Alienware and my Blu-Ray is built in and runs CDs and DVD so that wasn't really "extra"
Though in hindsight I think I shoulda gotten a regular DVD player cause they won't at least port PS3 Blu-Ray games
Damn inconsiderate Sony...

Oh and you can build (keyword here) a laptop (desktop even cheaper) for less than a PS3 that is one hell of a rig
you just have to have time and know how to assemble :specs:

We're just too lazy to do it ourselves so we shell out lots of cash to the pros :tongue:

I spent $2000 simply 'cause its an Alienware with liquid cooling, 8GB DDR3 and Nividia GTX 290, not to mention 2TB of hardrive... and all my pals are jealous and can't stop staring at it...
But then again neither can I :fap:

And yes people can be really dumb,
you should see what I had to go through to teach a console friend of mine about torrents...

... That's a terrible computer, I'm hauling 12GB DDR3 RAM, An ATI 4870X2 2GB GDDR5 GFX Card, and 1.5TB HDD Space, and it cost me like £600 for those parts, that's less than $1,000 I assure you. So maybe I've got 500GB less than you, but seriously, as if I need it, and I'm not too bothered for liquid cooling since my computer doesn't overheat anyways. With Alienware, you're just paying for the name and case, a total rip off if you ask me.

Dude mines a laptop, can't get too much stronger than that on a portable... (Couldn't get 12 GBs for it)
And cooling is extremely important for laptops - I want to be able to hold it on my lap without getting 3rd degree burns!!
And Nvidia pwns ATI anyday
My GTX 290 (which is two cards combined into one by the way) could run circles around your card
I'm also paying for them constructing it - I was too lazy to put any work into it :tongue:
And of course I'm paying for the name... what do you think makes the bystanders drool?

Uhh, I doubt your card could run circles around the 4870X2, considering it's basically two 4870's, and currently the best card on the market, so good luck lol. But even if it's only a laptop, that price is terrible for what's inside it, Alienware sure know how to fuck people over...

"Hey, look what's inside this, bet you've never seen this before ! *shows nice GFX Card etc.* But because the case looks so amazing, we're going to.. not double, not triple, but quadrouple the price, YAY !"

It ain't quadrouple price it's about double considering that 600 pounds is $987
And above that yours is home built and a DESKTOP
In addition mine has some extra things over yours
and the price ain't terrible

Oh by the way 4870X2 is last I checked desktop only...
And the GTX 295- slight mistake last time :crazy:
(which when I bought the laptop was the best card on the market) is also two GPU's 2 GTX 280's AMP! edition

Psiclone - I hate the trackpad too that's why I got a Razor Diamondback 3G - much more intinuiative :P

Anyway, yeah we should go back to these games and not our comps...
Hmm, too bad there's no working PS3 emulator...
