I sketched out some more concepts stuff for my individual game. You can probably guess it's zelda-esque. I didn't have a scanner available, so sorry if the quality isn't great.

I've started something because I was looking for an excuse to do something in RPG Maker again. I actually made a decision while at work today: "Fuck the minicontest, I'm giving myself a week to make a decent RPG Maker XP project with NO SCRIPTING. Why no scripting? Because that forces me to think a lot more pragmatically about code/pseudocode than normal programming.

Wow. OK. I remember the days of sketching out ideas for a Pokémon ROMHack like this. That was a while ago, though.

HBgames has been my home forever now! I was tempted to put up a project thread today, but I'm thinking I want to be a little closer to finished with my game before I do that. However, to share something quick, I just completed the map settings for day, dusk, and night. Credit to Reives for the original sky panoramas.

I'm just going to throw it out there that this is the map I had devised for this project before work interrupted and I realized it would take too long:

I would also like to note that I was planning to black out the windows and make that lighting actually functional, and not just with a dumb ambient glow, but with proper shadows. Without scripts.

@Hiccup, did you happen to be inspired by http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wu_Xing? I tried to create a battle system around that but never quite finished it.

I surprisingly didn't... I just randomly doodled it. I did have an "Earth" signet that I was going to use, but then I decided to hack it since I realized I could make that pattern. I guess Earth will be kinda like the "Atos" element... Maybe not. I dunno.

Awesome! Thanks a lot! It's great to see other people think that my work is cool. At the same time, I'm definitely humbled by the amount of talent on the site. There are lots of quality projects here!
