Importing a picture problem.

My friend is seriously bugging me to put one of his favorite video characters in my game, but I'm having trouble putting it in clearly.

The thing is, I found a perfect picture, resized it to look about as big as Garuda, and when I go to make it as an enemy, it comes up with a white-ish border around just the character. I've saved it under bitmap, png, and jpeg. Is there a certain type I need to save it under?

I'm also using VX, if it makes any difference.

Well, this is probably because you're resizing it, and the picture is automatically antialiasing the white around it.
Try carefully removing all the white before you resize it, and make sure it's in a program that handles transparencies.
