Immediatly executing a commonevent via script

In my game I have a script that calls a commonevent, however the commonevent can be called at any time. I want it so that if another event is being executed the commonevent gets called as a priority and any other event is cancelled (no matter what stage it is in).

I'm thinking it's probably a simple little bit of code, but because I don't know what event it is that will be cancelled I can't just stick an exit event procressing in the script.
