so yesterday it was time for bed. lately i've been going to bed nice and early for a number of reasons (primarily to be on a schedule closer to my girlfriend's and also to avoid my roommates so homework is easier to do). so it was like 7 or 8 or something and I get up from my computer to go to bed.
out of nowhere BOINGG!!! my glasses just go FLYING off my face. literally. they just jump off of my face and land some distance away. out of absolutely fucking nowhere. i get up from my computer and they just leap like ten feet across my room.
i go and gather them up and realize that one of the lenses is gone. fanfuckingtastic. i dig around and find it. nice. i go back to my desk and try to fix these fuckers. after squinting like a chinaman for about half an hour trying to get these things back together, i finally realize that a screw is gone. i scour my room and find that it is nowhere to be found. i'm sure that my being nearly blind isn't helping with any of this.
so now i am glassesless. i have a major 6-10 page thesis prospectus due in a couple of HOURS (although i will most likely be okay to get an extension when i bring him my broken glasses so he sees whats going on) and a paper due on monday about a novel that i haven't begun reading yet and WONT BE ABLE TO. on top of this I ended up not getting to sleep until a few hours after I had planned to, and thus ended up sleeping late and missing my window of oppurtunity to work an extra few hours on my major paper. not that it matters since i couldn't have SEEN IT anyway. i'll probably skip my classes and work today since WHATS THE POINT IF IM BLIND
i called my mommy but she doesnt know when she'll be able to come take me to get new ones;-;
so WHERE IS THIS GOING? i need to ask you guys for advice on glasses pricing and shit. i've had this pair for like 4 years anyway so i'm cool with getting some new ones.
also share your glasses horrorstories if you have any. ALSO this is a "if i disappear for a few days it's because i CANT SEE THE COMPUTER SCREEN"
