So I've been gone a while, doing what? Making a stupid rpg! Based on ska. How dumb!

A preview, so far theres about 5 hours of gameplay.

You are Harlan Oberfach, hardcore skanker! All the other musical scenes are taking the spot light, and spitting on ska! You must go through each level, defeating scene boys to goths and punkers.

Just kidding. This was done for class, I'll be teaching about *gasp* the pen tool. Lame.

you used the pen tool you say? I see no pen tool whatsoever in that image. Pen tool = good line quality. NOT the look like you sketched the thing...

You should look harder, past the obvious. I also never said it was 100% pen tool either.
Also pen tool does not always mean "good line quality".

Edit: How does one "see the pen tool" without showing the UI? Or do you mean see the use of the pen tool, which doesn't matter any way because the image is rasterized in the end, so you would never see the use of a pen tool in that fashion.

Dude... I am a graphical design and illustration Major... and that is not pen tool. that is brushes in either Photoshop, PainterX or some other art program like that combined with you and either a tablet, tablet PC, or just a lot of freaking time with a mouse zoomed in at 600%

The colors look like they were painted using the basic colors for it, and then highlights and shadows were added with the Burn and Dodge tools. And by this I am talking about the person, the title and the wavy lines. And the Horn. The background looks like normal photoshop as well...

I am not bashing... lol, just saying...

Also, it is... well, rather easy to spot the pen tool when you have used it for a long time. Seeing as you are teaching it, you must know that the fewer anchor points used in a line, the better and smoother it becomes. That image is not smooth... plus, unless you are using some program that I have never come across, it is quite hard to adaquately color in and around vector lines. Not impossible, but it is rather hard. Like I said earlier... it looks like you painted it using a tablet... and if THAT is the pen tool that you are referring to... well, its called a tablet... not the pen tool...

UNLESS you are using Live Trace... in which case... I could be wrong. Although Live Trace is not the pen tool...
