Hi everyone,
So some of you may or may not have noticed, I haven't been active on the forums since last Saturday, and the reason for this has been quite serious if I might say so...
You see, throughout my life, I've been suffering from epilepsy, however, it isn't the kind that triggers with flashing lights etc, it only happens during my sleep, but in the waking phases, my muscles will tighten up, and I will have spasms where my body shakes furiously, this has become quite common over the past few months, having them around twice a week, but only lasting for up to 2 minutes each, and then I'll wake up knowing nothing of it except for the side-effects, which just consist of aches around my body.
However, on Sunday morning, around 11am, I fell into an epileptic fit while asleep, and remained in the spasm stage for 12 minutes, now, the limit is 5 minutes and then it becomes serious, and 999 MUST be called (911 for americans), as it is considered a serious health risk. Due to the length I was in, I fell into a coma, which lasted until 6:30am wednesday morning, which was really scary, as I was in a state, where I could hear people, although very muffled, I could feel people, but I couldn't react in any way, it dragged and dragged, and I'd hate for anyone to have to feel what I felt while in it.
I was sent for MRA scans etc. to see if they could find a cause for my epilepsy (As it had developed greatly over these few months), and am awaiting results, which should come in the next few weeks.
I had to stay overnight in the hospital, and was safely allowed to leave and come home around three hours ago, I've now been home for almost two hours, I've just been watching Bruno, it's pretty funny but damn it's got some serously gay parts, lol.
I just thought I'd let people know where I'd been gone, as it was a little unexpected, and why I'd been gone. I'd also like to apologise to the members of the eZine team, as I was hoping to have helped with the .ORGy awards articles etc, I'm not sure if they've been done yet or not, but if not, I would really appreciate if I were given the chance to work on one of the articles for it, although you guys will have to help me out, since my mind is completely blank at the moment, due to the medication they were giving me while in my coma (I hate needles !).
Thank you to those who can be mature and understanding about this, and I'll answer any questions if you might have any.
PS - You know what else sucks, this medication they gave me, well they said that I have to go a whole three years without having a fit before I can start driving, which means I won't be able to drive legally until age 21 ATLEAST, and if I have any fits between now and then, then it'll be even longer. Does that suck or what !?
