Idea on projectile Weapons

Is it at all possible, to have it so when a hero shoots or bow, or throws an axe, or whatever projectile he is using, that it shoots across the screen at the enemy, instead of the animation of the arrows coming from underneath. I am using the Minkoffs Animated Battlers Enhanced With A custom sideview battle system. I was just wondering if this was at all possible. I was thinking it would probably be easiest with an animation, but unsure how to go about it. I know you will tell me I need to post my custom battle systems scripts, but theyre for my game that is not released yet, and im not making them public just yet. Im not looking for a script to solve this, but rather idea or opinions on how to achieve this. If anyone has any suggestions let me know.

Currently, I'm using Battle Animations to do so.  And also using the Battle Animation Flip Control script I wrote so both enemies and actors can use the same single animation.  Not that there are many battle animations made for sideview scripts.

Still trying to figure out how to create and use a separate 'sprite' to shoot across the screen.  No luck.  But the sideview battle animations are working for now.

I started to try to do this with Ccoa's sideview script, and quickly gave up.
Why?  If you have 4 actors & 4 enemies (assuming every troop has the enemies in the same position.),
then you have 7 different possibilities for each projectile animation. (14, if you need to reverse them
for the enemies to shoot at the actors.)
What I ended up doing is making a seperate 'attacker' & 'target' animation. Each one serves as half of the animation. So the 'attack' animation comes straight across from the attacker, and the 'target' animation goes straight toward the target.
Not as nice as a contiguous animation directly from attacker to target, but it doesn't look too bad.

Be Well

Why don't you do what the ABS scripts do?? But simpler.

If you need me to elaborate, just say but be sure to know what I'm talking about(ABS projectiles/ranged weapons).
