I want people to try my demo, and tell me if it lags.

Hello, I have a rather nice computer, and I have made my game on said computer. However, I don't have another computer availible for testing my game on, so I can't tell how CPU intensive it is.

The main reason I'm concerned, is I use a series of scripts to get the game to run at 1280x960 (not quite finished yet, some menus aren't working right, and transitions fail) most likely, it will lag due to the custom tilemap class.

Thank you for helping me, and if you have any comments on the other systems shown in the tech demo, I'd like to hear them.

People in the upper left give descriptions of the leveling system and the spellcasting system, lower left is a heal, and upper left is some basic fights. There isn't much here, I just threw something together so that all aspects could be tested for lag.

Well after testing the demo I noticed very little lag at all, however this might be due to the fact I'm also running a fairly high spec machine (who doesn't love Quad Cores? ;)). I did however notice quite a bit of screen tearing as I walked along the map, however this might just be due to the large ressolution.

Also I think the issue you are having with autotiles could be a problem with the tilemap script you are using.

Thank you, I didn't notice any screen tearing on my computer, I'll try to find a way to enable vertical sync.

I've also solved the autotile problem, somehow it was trying to animate them, while not changing them, this caused them only to be "animated" when they were redrawn.

Glad to be of help and nice fixing the autotile issue, however it may be an idea for you to include a option to change the screen resolution as not everybody will have that big of a resolution, I for example had to change the script to run my 1440x900.

I'm using a veeery slow computer, this doesn't lag at all.
But lol, 'There isn't much here' is an understatement.. (Run away! it's an evil blue... thing o.o)
No offense, I know it's not done yet.

With regards to the screen resolution options, I will be releasing two versions of the game, one in standard 640x480 resolution, and the other at 1280x960.
With regards to the screen tearing, the changing of the resolution MIGHT have caused the tearing, I'll look into it, if that was the problem, I'm not concerned, as the lower resolution option will be availible for download.

Fear the blue .... thing. Next will be the GREEN things, muahahaha.

Anyway, thanks for testing it, I needed someone with a slow computer to test it.
