I ran into a little music issue...

The problem is, the music works fine up til I test my latest level^^; I don't understand, I went to map properties and changed the background music. I also pressed F1 to make sure the music was enabled. I tried the same music file in both ogg and mp3 format. Also, I can hear the music just fine in the music preview window, and on my computer as well. What's the problem?

Are you sure you don't have any events that fade or stop the BGM? You can also try rebooting the computer or reinstalling VX, sometimes these problems just pop up and you just have to wait awhile for it to be fixed.

Im having the same problem except it is an imported music file. If I play it on Window's Media Player it works fine but if I test it in the game it does not play at all.

Right click the little speaker in you task bar on the bottom right of your screen near where your time is.  Click Advanced Properties or something along that, and a window should pop-up.  In this window, make sure that SW Synth is not turned down the whole way.  This one controls Midi sounds.  Just raise the bar and the music should play in Rpg Maker.

This is a low probability scenario: But do you have any MEs playing before that? If a midi ME has a bunch of rest bars at the end of it, it will (only in constructor/game and not in windows media player or whatnot) play the rest bars and overlap all BGMs that play during it. I once had a midi ME with 30 bars of rests at the end of it by accident and it had me puzzled for hours.
