I NEED HELP!

It's more like a question  :lol:. I don't have internet on my computer, so I was planning on downloading RPG Maker XP on my Dad's computer and then put it on a flash drive and do it on my computer. Tried it with the trial version but it said "can't receive nTitles serial number." or something like that. So, do you know the license quantity for RPG Maker XP? Cause I don't want to download it and find out that it HAS to stay on my Dad's computer and waste $60. So, do you know?

I think as long as you buy it and verify it, It should be ok to transfer to another PC, but im not sure. Did you google it?

you have to register it before you transfer it, if you don't have the internet on the second computer.

Actually even if you buy the license the first time RMXP starts it needs to be on a computer, that has internet connection. After that you can start it even without internet.
So you need to  start it from your Dad's PC and than copy the folder to your PC and it should work fine.

Well my i-net crashed a few days back and I still could use RMXP, so I guess it works XD

Edit: And you could always try it with the trial version. It should work with this one as well...

Didn't work. Oh darn. I guess I'll just hope my Dad will let me have internet and a wireless adapter or, no RPG Maker XP.    :neutral:

If I had been able to log in and help you before these people, I could have told you that RMXP has to be registerred on the computer it is to be used on. Even transferring the license info in teh registry won't work. To get the 30 day trial, look in my posting history until you see a post about the nTitles server, where I will have a registry edit that gives you an expired 30-day trial, enabling you to activate the program without the internet. (I might edit this post later with a link, but I've go to go now)

Edit: OK, I've got the post. Follow the instructions in the post exactly, and you should be given an expired trial on the computer without internet. Then, just use your activation key, if you still have it, on the same computer. (Always make sure you keep activation keys stored somehwere) Remember, you've got to do all of that on the computer without internet.
