I need a script that can blur the map

I need a script that will allow me to have the map blurry while I'm in the menu.

For example:

I wanna turn this

I don't think RMXP has render filters available for use does it? If so, what other filters are available with a blur?

All else fails, you can :

a) put some image over the tilemap, in an attempt to blur the picture.
b) Use the screenshot script to get a picture of the image and blur the image with a blur effect
c) use a tilemap script, and blur that image with a blur effect

You can create some blur effect in the Bitmap class. I will do some research on this. At the least, I can come up with a method for blurring a bitmap.
