Well like the title says I haven't been here a LONG time and I have a few questions.

Whats VX?
Who remembers me?
Do scripts from XP still work in VX?
Is VX much different from XP?
Does Despain still more or less rule the forums?
Has anything important happened recently? Forums being overthrown etc.

Whats VX?
VX is the latest version of RPG Maker
Who remembers me?
I can't say I do. I could speak for everyone else, but that would only being ridicule & humiliation.
Do scripts from XP still work in VX?
VX scripts are still Ruby. So a standalone script will work. A script that calls methods from the default scripts may need to be edited.
Is VX much different from XP?

Does Despain still more or less rule the forums?
Despain has never ruled anything. He has always been a minion of the commercial game industry sent here to discourage amateur gamemakers from becoming formidable competition.

Nothing "Important" occurs here. Although there have been lots of changes in the past year. I suggest you peruse the "announcements" forum & catch yourself up.
