I have anti lag script, but my map still lags terrible, and its not even big!

Whenever I enter a map, end a battle, there is a terrible lag, why is this? Also, on one of my maps, its really small and the lag is so bad , it wont play an animation, what the heck?

How many events do you have on the map that are visible?

How many parallel process events do you have going, including common events?

Do you have a parallel event that's checking hundreds of conditional branches at once?

Any of these can cause lag regardless of antilag scripts.

The way anti-event lag scripts work is just by only updating events that are on the screen. There is no magic trick to them. However, as Unka Josh said, it depends on common events and parrellel processes and such that are running.

You might want to make a demo of your map, so people can see for sure.

Okay scratch that, parallel process such as random birds or butteflies work fine, but when I try to use an animation on parallel process or event action, OR most Importantly, When I enter a map, Or Exit a battle, it lags for about 3 seconds, I really need help on that one.

I'll put a demo up as soon as I can, i gotta get to my house first. lol

Oh, and also an important question, In Charlie Lee's Animated battle script, I can't find where the row positions for the battlers are, because they are way to high on the screen and spread out.
