yeah actually dental work is real expensive. i've been needing some work, myself. i've been harboring 2 cavities for probably 6+ years now, but I don't have the cash to pay for fixing them, so I just take good care of my teeth and avoid sweets :P

It was a pleasant experience for me; my doctor was knowledgeable, cordial, and what I would call "professionally laid back". He arranged everything for me to work smoothly, called me after my surgery to see how I was doing, and gave me a free procedure that would've cost me about $50.
