I lived in oceanside too, for 9 years. Lol, when I lived there I thought it was ghetto too, until I moved across the country. Now all i want to do is move back.

Trust me, honeybaby, you don't know ghetto if you think o'side is ghetto. :/

what a small world, you're too young to have ever gone to school with me, but it's interesting to know there're two people on this forum who lived in the little military city i grew up in.

what schools did you go to there? i went to South Oceanside for elementary, Lincoln for Middle, and Oceanside for High.

i went to empressa elementary/ivey ranch elementary/jefferson middle haha. i moved a year  before i was supposed to start at oceanside! do you know where mission san luis rey was? i lived right across the street from there for soo long. i really miss it. after i moved from oside i used to be all *~*braggy*~* because junior seau's brother was my next door neighbor and tony hawk used to hang at the skatepark but then people started to not know who junior seau was and stopped caring about tony hawk so i pretty much had nothing to be cool about anymore :/

yeah i know where the mission is. you lived in the nice part, lol. my bf (now my husband) lived in the valley too, with all the preppy kids. i was poor as turds so i lived just off highway 101, due south of south "o" elementary. my friends used to live around the high school but after they growed up they moved to vista or downtown san diego.

when i make it big (lolyeahrite) i want to move to la jolla or san marcos. those places were the shit, man. plus i loved the lack of seasons (everything's like cool/warm yearround, not freezing/hot).

here in tampa ... man you know those vids of 3rd world azn and south american countries, where the poor mofos have tarpaper/rusty tin roofs on their shitty little shacks? yeah that's like the greater majority of tampa. in some places it's hard to walk 20 feet without bumping into a gaggle of ugly ass crack-hookers :/. luckily i live like 20mi north of that though, but it's an armpit that made me really especially appreciate oceanside

i know oceanside was huge but i wonder if you knew my friend sarah sherman.. i think she graduated 02 or 03. she was really into ROTC and weightlifting. anyway she was a really good family friend i grew up with her family so she automatically came to mind. i might've been at your graduation if you both graduated the same year......! i probably was so yeah. la jolla is sooo nice. seriously. i've heard things have gotten a little rough around that area but i'm sure the rich lawyers who run that area keep it in shape. my favorite place by FAR was coronado though. ugh. it's beautiful. i love the hotel del.

i miss oceanside toooo much

my favorite thing about san diego was the rocky horror picture show. i'd go every friday in encinitas at la paloma theatre with the sherman family (interesting family!) and it'd be great. granted i was like, 13 and jailbait and everyone else was in their 20's and weirdgoths.

i still have family there so i wanna go back and visit soon!
