How would I set this type of condition?

How would I set a condition where if you attack with a weapon a certain amount of times the weapon is lost, because I want to implement a feature like in Fire Emblem where your weapons break after a certain amount of uses. Would I have to do this through scripting, or could I do this through eventing? Thank you.
 
Weapons are not unique. All "Bronze Swords" are the same sword essientially. Because of this, you can't have a break after x uses. I made a script that breaks the weapons with a given percent, but until I finish my Game_Weapons, its kinda stuck that way. :/
