How to switch main characters?

Im new to this and I have a decent story so far(about 10 minutes).I need to know how to change the character that i walk around with.The original man died and the girl is walking around now but I want someone else to walk around instead.How do I do it?Does anyone know?

The simple way is to use the "Change Party Member" event command.
To move the girl to the end of the line, just remove her, and then add her back.
(make sure to uncheck 'initialize', or she'll go back to her original stats when the game started)
To shuffle them all, just remove them all, then add them back in the order you want them.
The first actor added will be the one walking around.

So I just remove the other people from the party and then add them back...

since you just wanted to move the girl, just remove her, then add her back. She will be at the end, on the bottom, in position 3, however you want to look at it.  Just try it!!!!

Also, you could start the game with her in the 4th position. (Database, System tab, Initial Party) you can change the order

okay so 1,2,3,4 one dies i remove 2,3,4 then add 5,2,3,4 and thats it
