How to download the game when you've lost the key

Hello everyone

I've been using rmxp for the past year or so on my laptop, which died yesterday along with the last 30% of the progress I made on the game :( I was using a legit copy (my boyfriend gave it to me as a present), but neither of us can find the original key/code that you input to start the full version.

Does anyone know a way to get Enterbrain to send the original confirmation email (with the key/code)? I'm thinking that they might be able to verify the sale if we could provide the credit card # that was used to purchase the software, but I can't seem to find anywhere on the site that lets us do that.

Thank-you!

Your RMXP's serial number is saved in your Windows Registry. This is how you get it.

1) Run the program REGEDIT (aka Registry Editor). You should be able to do it from the RUN option.

2) Do a search for 'ShellNext' until you find a line called:
https://license.ntitles.net/register.asp?pc=.... blah blah blah

3) Around the end of the line of data (you'd probably have to go in through 'Modify data' to read it), you will see
&rsn='your 20-character serial number'...

Using your serial number already on your PC, you should be able to generate a new activation number which you'd use.

I advise to everyone to write down your serial number as the activation number is time sensitive and will change from day to day (it seems). I had to re-activate my copy and the activation number was different.

The serial number is key. Good thing it is saved on the PC.
