How to disable the keyword

The deal's this: I have a countdown before a race, but while the countdown goes, the player should not be able to move, but the countdown event cannot be on autostart, but on PP, is there some kind of script to unable the keyboard input??

Pliiiz, I need an answer ASAP.

Because, the runners (other events) are working on pararlel processes, and I don't know why, but after the countdown passes, the runners events just stop running

The countdown shows 4 images, going "3", then another "2", then "1", and then "go", each one for 20 frames, while the runners are waiting 60 frame but the player should not be running around...

the runners events are programmed by a defined route custom movement pattern that solves the race.

and luminier, Atemu, i'm sorry, but I've been trying to solve it for the last hour and half, searching the net for another hour looking for a possible solution, and I have to deliver the game tomorrow (and it's already 1:25 am), so I'm kind of desperate
 
Well, if i have understood you right, you could do like this, make an event with a parallel process,
Set move route for player and choose move towards player, this will make the player unable to move, then show all your pictures, 3, wait, 2, wait, 1, wait, go and then turn on a self switch:

and then on the second page, make a wait command for 1 sec and then set move route for player and then turn away from player:

and now when the race has been counted down, the player can start to move again. :smile:
 
You can have 2 event pages.

The first event page is on autorun. Do the countdown stuff here, show some text, then after "GO!" start the timer and turn "Self-Switch A=On". On the second page, check the Conditions box "Self Switch A is On", and make it parallel processing, and have the race check if the player's over the finish line, etc.
