How to change windowskin

How do I get the windowskin template so that I can recolor it?

The windowskin comes with the RTP. You should find it in the RPG Maker -> Graphics -> Windowskin folder (although it might differ depending on whether you use XP or VX).

EDIT: Okay, now that I know how to do that, I need advice on how to change it. I want it to somehow compliment my title screen (http://img39.imageshack.us/img39/4215/titlescreen.jpg), so what do you think I should do? Have some sort of island picture, some shade of black?
EDIT TWO: Aargh, the windowskin doesn't show up in gimp! Now how do I recolor it?

But if you want to do it yourself, then I won't answer. I don't use GIMP so I can't really help a lot with anything technical.

Hmm, I like that, but it isn't quite right. I think I'll try to do some sort of black thing when I find the file on gimp, although first someone's gonna have to tell me how to get it on gimp. :haha:
EDIT: Does anybody have a picture of the base windowskin that I can save to my computer and then edit?
EDIT TWO: Nevermind, I'll just save sal880612m's and edit IT.
EDIT THREE: Oh who am I kidding. I'm no pixel artist! Oh well, maybe I can find something...
