how do you get .lnk files to run in RMXP?

ok... so i wanna make it so that i can run a shortcut file (a .lnk file) in RMXP... i tried using the same method as you do for .exes and other files but it didnt work, and i know its possible because Aveyond and another game (cant remember) made on RMXP did it... i really would appreciate it if this were answered as its one of the last missing links thats holding down my biggest projects scripts...

Will first pop a cmd screen up, which will dissapear quickly and your file will be executed.

thanks for that i can finally progress... now i can run almost any file type in game and with my current systems i can fuse them all to finish my project :D
