How do I turn off an enemy ID event?

Question: How do I turn off an enemy ID event?

at a point in my game you run into A boss this boss shoots fire balls at you from a distance, and you have to avoid the fireballs and spikes on the ground to get closer to the boss, and once you get close enough he runs off to the next playable area

I have him run off and dissapear with the *change graphic function* But the enemy ID event is still active and shooting fireballs as if he was still standing there

I have a control switch D on the enemy ID event tab on my Boss and when I try to turn off the D switch it does not work

any Ideas

Please help with this problem will be glad to give credit if your Idea works

well, this sounds like you are using a custom battle system. Though I'm guessing the XAS? It's the first one that comes to mind. We need to know that. and a screenshot of the event always helps. Post those two things and I think we can get it figured out....though from what it sounds like it's not activating your switch D, so check to see if it's being skipped somehow with a loop or whatever. Also, you could just use the Switch D instead of the change graphic. It would get the same thing with just less commands.
