how do i have a continuous loop of animation like a fire or candle?

I am new to RPG Maker and I am trying to make the candles glow. I also want to have a looping campfire animation that activates after you are prompted to light the fire. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

( I checked the tutoirals, but i couldnt find the answer, though i might have overlooked it )

Create an event with the torch graphic.  Under "Options" check the "Stop Animation" box.  This will make the torch cycle through its "walking" frames, which (using the torches in the RTP anyway) will animate it to flicker.  If it looks too fast or slow, you can change the cycle speed with the "Freq:" drop box.
