How do i change the Character size?

Hello there, i am new to RPG Maker VX and the Forum. I didn't found a question like this and it might sound stupid. I even tryed the search engine. Well i saw in a few games how people go into towns. And when they were in a town, the character size was bigger than on the world map. I kinda tryed to figure it out but i didn't find a solution. My char keeps that small tiny size. Can somebody help me??

the simplest solution would be to use the event command to change the head actor's graphic (the actor at the head of your party, the one whose sprite shows up on the world map) just as you enter/leave the town. ideally, you'd do this as the screen faded to black so that people wouldn't notice the abrupt change.

I did this example with VX, so the event commands might be named a little differently, but it should still be mostly the same in XP. the commands are all in the list if you dig for them.

Oh, that should help alot! I will try it, when i am having problems i will tell you. Thanks!

it worked!

Now all i will need is a sprite but that problem should be solved within seconds, i really appreciate your help mawk :)

If you haven't already solved it within seconds, well, you could always just make a resized version of the sprite.

A warning based on my own experience: When a teeny-tiny sprite moves 32 pixels in a second or two on a world map, it looks like it's racing compared to a full-sized sprite. It's a fascinating optical illusion, and if you don't want to deal with it, change the character's speed with Set Move Route whenever you change the graphic.
