How do i add a starting screen with text and pictures?

How would i make an intro with pictures and text?
I would like to know this please and thank you guys, because i am very new at RPG Maker XP and i just bought it

*sigh* I remember being this noobish. It was horrible, not knowing how to do anything in the program.

Then I actually opened the program and tried everything to figure out what and how everything works. Seriously, either A) read the help menu, or B) play with everything until you get a feel for what everything does... It works wonders. You might just want to try it...
