How can I make the character sprite get smaller while he moves away?

yknow i wanna cr8 the idea of perspective iof someone could tell me way, anything, to make the character sprite grow bigger while he comes close ans smaller while he goes away. i would also like to be able to change the character sprites walking speed, in whatever direction, manually. dont worry about cosmetics, i really just wanna know how to do this, and hope for once anyone can help me, hehe
