Home Theater Connecting

Hey, it's been a long time since I've been back here but I guess this a good spot to start to get the answer to my question quickly.   Alright, now:

I recently purchased a Panasonic BD-50k Blue-ray player and I’m planning on buying a home theater system. I’m thinking about getting the Samsung HT-WX70. The problem I have is I want to connect my blue-ray player to my home theater system but I’m not sure of what type of connection to use and if one may have better sound quality than the other. This particular home theater system has two HDMI ports so I was planning on connecting the HDMI cable from the blue-ray player to the home theater system and then from home theater system to the TV. Although, I was thinking since the home theater system and BD player both have digital output I could connect the BD player to the TV via HDMI and connect a coaxial cable to the home theater system for the sound.

Should I use coaxial or HDMI? (Please keep in mind that the home theater system I’m planning to buy cannot support TrueHD sound format nor DTS-HD so their will already be some sound degradation since the blue-ray player I have supports both those formats) Thanks in advance for your help.
