Figured I'd start a topic here aswel with some of my more recent work, any C&C are welcomed, what you like or don't like etc.
Just as a heads up I've only just started practising backgrounds and I'm trying to find a style I'm comfortable with.

the first one really sticks out to me as needing some improvement. the shading's competent, but the actual form is pretty clumsy and doesn't mesh well with it. the face in particular looks as if it was flattened somehow.

I'm guessing that's older than the others, though, because the next two are done with a lot more skill. I'm not sure if I have any real issues to raise with those, except that you seem to be rushing the painting in places, and the lineart seems clumsy here and there. those are both easy to fix just with practice, though.

I never noticed but now that you mention it there's definitely something going on with the face which I didn't pick up on, it might be the way I did the hair aswel.

Yeah that's the older one of the three, and it was done in a different program than the other two. It was my introduction piece to learning the basics of it whilst I was still in the trial period. Though I found a more suitable one for me and that's what I did the other two in.

These as with most of my other work are kinda rushed, so I've been trying to speed things up and unfortunately I couldn't spend as much time on this as I would have liked.
