I wasn't sure where to put this. It's a HK sprite, but it's for an avatar.

Meh.

Tried to turn a photo into an avatar. I can't sprite very well, and I suck at hair. I couldn't do glasses no matter how I tried. Anyway:

I think the sprite is adorable.

Though maybe you could use some more contrast for the hair. My resolution is set to a really high number of pixels and I couldn't tell the hair had highlights / shadows until I saw the bigger version.

By the way, I love your GIR.

I may do in the future but not for a while.

I don't have time to make the sprites and not many people are willing to make them for free.

But when (/if) the game starts making money I'll consider switching as it would mean a lot more detail can be added such as emotes.

What about Breeze? That's simple to sprite, can convey a myriad of emoticons, and pretty much rules the cute factor.

The same problem still exists of having to make all the sprites again though.
