I wanted to start making HK sprites. I mostly do franken/recolors, but there aren't enough HK sprites to work with so I figured I'd try recreating the rtp characters. I worked off the male template and got this far. I can't put my finger on it, but something about the hair bugs me. suggestions?

JK, but pillow-shading is not good in any case. Try to cast the light source to either side, instead. Other than that, not bad at all. The hair is fine.

The armour seems pillow shaded, but the hair is alright in my eyes.

The headband seems way too straight in the back. Maybe you should have it have more of a curve near the middle? Overall, it looks ok. Pillow shaded, but it's ok.

Yeah I like it, but pillow shading is bad, but I guess we've all pillow shaded once..I've actually only really just got out of the habit. Anyway, look good, Coyote. Though I do like the hair.

they both look good. But all in all I'd have to go with the kid HK first then the standard HK Aluxes cause you never know when you'll make a game that will have it to were you start him off as a kid then have him grow up near the end of the game.

I dunno if it helps , But I started this sprite a long time ago in a galaxy far far away, and I said I wasn't gonna finish it, so you can have it for ref or whatever...
