- What is your history with game creation and the game making community?
I have been working with game design tools and some programming for a while now, I started my game making adventure with RPG Maker 95 back in the 90's. Kept using RM products up to 2003 (my favorite). During that period I delved into some programming languages, I've tried a lot of them, but was never too convinced to use them to make a game, specially after time started to get tight. So I kept looking for tools that were time efficient and did not compromise power. I currently use Construct 2 and it's the best I have come across yet (HTML5 has a lot to improve, but C2 is certainly impressive). It my personal belief that the future of game creation lies in tools like Construct 2.
What is your field of expertise in game making?
I don't think I have one! Jack of all trades kind of thing for me. I however, cannot sprite for me life, only simple static objects. -__-;;
How did you find the forums?
Googling for RM stuff years ago. I just re-found you again when you appeared at the Scirra website.
What you hope to get out of the forum?
Exchanging ideas with like minded people. Checking out other's work and share my own, hopefully making some new friends in the process.
What kind of creative talents do you have (outside of game creation)?
I compose/remix music, I do artwork, graphics design, web design.
All are hobbies that I integrate into game design.
What are your hobbies or interests?
All listed above plus watching horror movies, stuff about computers, I also like to mod stuff like games and playing soccer.
What kind of music do you listen to?
Quite honestly, anything that I consider nice sounding. Although, some music genres are just a no no to me. I enjoy video game music a LOT and frankly, it is my favorite genre.
What level of education are you in? What are you studying in college?
None, I am past that.
Cheers everyone! :box:
