how would i make a event where at the start the game loads up and you talk to someone and then you choose what class you want to be i.e. ranger/ mage/ warrior

is there a script that is easily customable which allows the player to walk around and slash or shoot magic out?

It is not that hard to do the first one. I am sure it has been asked before.
Do a show choices for each class choice and then if the player chooses one, use the change class command.

As for the Action Battle System, there are plenty of them in the Submitted RGSS forum. XAS, NeoABS are some good ones.
