Help with skills

i hope someone can help me, im using rmxp side view script with minkoff battlers. Ive made an animation of my battler doing a kamehameha wave from dbz and assigned it to a skill. When i select it in battle how can i make the battler disapear when the animation of the skill shows then once the skill is finished the battler returns to his original place because the animation has the battler in it and i dont want 2 battlers on the screen at the same time. like in rm2k3 where on skills tab you can put animation as none and battle animation as the skill you made. Please help !!!

Now I'm not familiar with minkoff's sideview system, but depending on how's it done, you'll be able to approach this with or without scripting. I'd suggest to take the scripting approach either way, as everything else might be messy and put further stones in your way later on. Because noone ever believes that, though, lemme give you the non-scripting version as well:

If minkoff has seperate skill animations, you can just set these to empty so nothing's shown during skill usage. That'd allow you to define all skill character animations by database animations from the database. Note that you HAVE to use database animations then, aka can't use a default animation (unless you make a database animation out of it).

If there's only one sprite intended for all actions, or if you're not satisfied with this solution (as I wouldn't be), head over to Script Request forums if you want the script being done for you, or Script Support, if you want to try yourself and run into problems.

Well, what I said I said because it wouldn't make sense for it being possible to hide the character when there really is no character, but only that static image (that'd look silly to hide); because remember: Those sideview battlers are there from a custom script.
However, I did some searching around the net, and actually found this:
When you use the skill it will do an initial animation to the character using it. You can choose to hide the character in the animation option tab(Where you put in sound effects and such.) at what frame you want the character to hide and for how long.

Now I don't have RMXP, but you might be able to tell what that user is talking about.

So yeah, hope this helps.

Image should be pretty self explanatory. Set "Frame" to whatever frame you want the target to disappear on and the Duration to however many frames you want the target to be hidden (usually for the rest of the animation). Keep in mind that when you assign the animation to the skill in the database, this should be the User Animation, not the Target Animation.
