help with RMXP

my version of the RMXP program for windows xp will not open and project games that I have downloaded from this site. RMXP says that the program can not open do to incompatable file types. please help.

I can say with certainty, that it is because you possess the illegal version of RMXP.

If you didn't know, then I'm sorry.

Really, if you can't pay $60.00USD(or whatever the equivalent of that is, in your currency.), then you don't need it.

No problem. It's refreshing seeing someone with the illegal version, that's actually willing to buy the real version.

Can you still use the games you made using the ilegal version on the legal version?

Hmm. Now that one I'm not sure about. If I remember correctly, in the illegal version, the scripts weren't translated, or something to that affair. So that would mean that using the whole project would be out of the question. I think that you could still use the maps that you made, though. I'm not one-hundred percent sure on this one, though.

You can use games started on the illegal version with the legal.  However, as Lummy said, the scripts won't be translated, and some users, particularly those using Windows Vista, may have trouble running it.  Best thing to do is make a new project with the legal version and copy everything but the base scripts over from the illegal copy.
