Help with events

Well I am making my own game and I stumpled on a problem, can anyone help me?

The problem is that I need 1 guy to give the player some gold, and when thats done he will say something new and not just keep giving the player money everytime he talks to the person.

Hmmm can't get it to work, now he just says what is written on page two, and you won't get anything.

Can it be beacause that there is a choice that it does not work?

Just move around?

Take a look at the options on the left side of the event page. Notice that one of them is Autonomous Movement.

It defaults to "Fixed." Change that to something else-- "Random" if you don't need anything else-- and the NPC will move.

This is a basic function of the game. I'd suggest that you take a good look over all of the options and commands-- right-clicking them will tell you what they do. Play around with 'em. You'll learn a lot.

Awesome Bro

You're supposed to set him to Action Button or whatever it is, if you set the movement to "Random", then it doesn't matter what trigger you're using, he'll still move.

You should really look through the basics before asking your questions, these are the simplest commands to use, and you're struggling with them, maybe you should check the helpfile too.

Thank you for the help, now for the complicated things, I have looked through the option in the editor.

Here goes, I need to make an event where you get attacked in the town, and to make this stop you need to beat a boss in a castle, how is this done?

You'd do this by using the Change Encounter command-- it's on the bottom of the right-hand column of the first page of event commands in XP. Enable random encounters when the enemies turn up, disable when you beat the boss. Very simple one-command trick.
