help with ej's big map

Hello, I've tried very hard to get some help on this script, but the only help i can find is in german. i even got my friend to translate it, but we couldn't work it out. Here's what i've got. From what i can gather, i should install this script below sdk and above main, then create 9 maps of equal size with the same tileset. Then, rename the maps so that map001.rxdata becomes "BM 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9", map 002 becomes "BM 1 3 4 5 6 7 8 9"...etc. Then, create a "big map" called MAP 010, with a size that is equal to the size of the smaller maps combined, so that if the small maps are 20x20, the big map will be 60x60. Then, i changed the id of the bigmap in the bigmap script from "BIG MAP ID=1" to "BIG MAP ID=10, or whatever the map is called.

After doing this with 9 small maps of plain grass, the bigmap is only a blank map. The tilesets are the same for each map. I don't know what i'm doing wrong, so i'd really appreciate it if someone could give rather clearer instructions than those given by the creator of the script. If there are any non german links that anyone knows, that would also be helpful.

Thanks for reading! Please help!

There is even a german instructions for that script? woah. From what you tell here you are doing it correctly. The only error I think you can have made is teleporting to the wrong map. just teleport to a small map. like map005.rxdata or something.

I got the script to work, thanks to EJ's helpful hints, and it was easy enough really. Unfortunately, the trick doesn't work with panoramas. Which was what i wanted in the first place. I would like to make a big map, 400x500 would be about right, but i can't do it with tilesets because this would create a tileset approximately 800,000 pixels in length. I need a way of directly importing an image dimensions 16000x12640 as a world map. I have worked out how to import a panorama as a map, which gets close to this size, about 9000x7000, and stop it from scrolling at a different rate to the tileset, but if i do this i cannot see the panorama in the game editor. Does anyone know of a script which can either:

use multiple panoramas that link together as in EJ's big map

change a jpeg image to rmxp map data(i know this is a long shot)

view panoramas in the game editor.

Or any other solutions. The link for EJ's big map in German is at the following address, if anyone wants to check it out, but i don't need help with the bigmap script anymore.
