Help with custom made sprites. ( Resolved )

Well Im not sure that this is the right forum for this topic but, let's try.

Ok the problem is when I make my character's different moves and directions and put them togheter with transparent background, I cant see the full characters just the head of them. Huh? Do I have to seperate the different sprites from each other? and how do I do that if thats the problem.

Please help me out and if you dont understand what I mean, then I can upload some screenshots in some days when I get home to my own computer.

/ GNB and admin if this is in wrong forum then please move it.

Could you specify if this is for XP or VX?

If it's for XP, charsets are made of 4x4 sprites, which is 16 total. Make sure they're aligned properly. The program automatically divides a charset into 16 equal parts, so if you only have a few frames leave the rest blank.
If it's for VX, I believe there are multiple characters in one sheet. I think you put a $ or a ! (forget which) in front of the filename to let the program know it's only one character.

If I'm misinterpreting the question just let me know.

There isn't a size limit in XP (not that I know of), the program automatically divides the charset into 16 equal sections. Right now it's a bit difficult to determine the problem, could you upload the image so we can see?

the problem is that XP automatically divides the WHOLE image up into 16 peices. your image is huge and has a whole bunch of extra space thats messing you up. its fairly simple to align these and set them up correctly. i would do it for you, but i dont have the time. if no one else has helped you later when i have time, ill do it for you.

P.S. Someone's probabbly going to jump up your ass for triple posting. i suggest you dont do it; use the edit button (looks like paper/pencil)

ok almost got it to work. I made the shrek character bigger and made the background transparent. I can play with the character and it looks nice but when I run there is a hand from the character next to the running one. That hand is showing up sometimes when he runs. Are the characters to close to each other then? or? why does that happen?

Yeah, the characters are probably too close to each other. Open it up in an image-editing program and divide it into 16 rectangles (or if you don't have that function, just select 1/16th of the image at a time). If one of the hands is cut off, then you need to space it out more.

If you're still having trouble, you can just post the image here and someone might do it for you.

get a new file host. Photobucket.com works well unless you like posting huge pictures. for large pictures use image shack.

Do you want the character set the first size you posted, or the enlarged one? AND ALSO: there is no standing frame in the front or back poses, and his eyes ar going to animate weirdly.
