Help with Bed Event (Harvest Moon style)

I'm making a Harvest Moon-style game, and in the game, at the end of the day you go up to your bed and choose 'yes' when asked, 'Do you want to go to bed?'

Your character then hops into bed, changes to the 'down' position, (and the variable days is +1)

the screen goes black for a second,

and then you wake up, hop out of bed, and your sprite changes back to normal. (the days variable checks if it is a new month, and if it is, tells you)

I have tried and tried to do this, and I cannot! Is there anyone who can help me?
 
I actually have a very long, probably overly complex event-script that works just fine until the sprite is supposed to go back to normal, but it doesn't. I'll go get a screenshot and post it. ^^

Here's the first event, when you first hit enter at the bed. It transfers you to a blank map (I can't get the screen to go blank any other way), and then sends you back and turns on the below event..

What's with the tileset changing? This seems like you're making it a lot more complicated than you need it to be. I'd suggest not using common events (you really don't need them here), not teleporting to a blank map (change the screen tone to simulate a fading effect for sleeping), and just try to cut down on the unnecessary stuff. It'll probably fix itself.
 
It had a point back before I switched maps, but I really ought to make it simpler...It works, mainly, though. It's because I couldn't hop onto the bed b/c it was impassable (I don't want to walk on the bed!) so I made a new tileset where it was passable.

Changing the screen tone doesn't work for me. I tried it, and I don't get it, and it never fades back in.

Okay, I will. I really need this to work.

There's a MUCH easier way to allow the hero to move through passable objects. In Set Move Route, just use Through On or Off.

The screen tone would never fade back in unless you tell it to. You'd have to use the command again at some point and reverse the changes you made the first time.
