Help with a tileset

I havent made a rmxp game in about three years, so im starting a new project or hobby or whatever you want to call it. I started making a tileset and I need a bit of help on the roof. Im an alright sprite artist but still need help i guess. I want to make the roof of the building but dont know where to start, also i want to make the isometric like walls, like in the fotress tileset. Can anyone spruce up my current tileset and show me how its done? I still have alot of work to do on it I know but can anyone help.

If you're making iso pieces you have to make iso roofs as well, don't forget.

Firstly, make a 9-tile autotile-looking set of roof pieces. One interlocking, tiling piece in the middle, then all the outside pieces around it.

Next, your contrast is wayyy high. Tone that down some.

If you want to make an iso brick wall, you'll need it atleast two tiles vertical to make it interlock. Also, if you reduce the contrast of the bricks your current bit of iso will look a lot better. Don't forget to shade one side depending on your light source (usually the right side).

See that bottom row of bricks only lightly outlined? Use that style for the other rows of bricks, only shading one or two bricks to allude depth.

Finally make several columns of wall iso pieces so you can make ending pieces and interlocking, tiling pieces.

^_~ hope that helps.
