[HELP] RPG Maker XP, Problems again.

I tried uninstalling everything, then re-downloaded and reinstalled but it still does the same old, same old:

I've uninstalled, reinstalled, rebooted, checked everything, but the legal version of RPG Maker XP will not work on my device.

Has ANYONE got a clue on how to fix this? I'm having to do all my work on my game at a freinds.

I payed for my RPGMaker XP, I want to be able to use it.

that looks like windows vista to me. I don't have vista but I believe people have found ways of getting around vistas incompatibility with rmxp. Sorry this wasn't much use >< will wait for someone with good info.

I can state, It's not Vista, it's an Aero Black Windowtheme for XP, because I hate the way XP looks.

Did you install the RTP?  That might cause this error.  Other than that, I can't think of what it could be.  Also, there's not need to put "help" in your topic.  It's a help section.

Oh, the Runtime Package causes the error? I'll try uninstalling it.

Okay now it says that RGSS something .dll is missing.

I meant you should try uninstalling and then reinstalling it.  It won't work without the RTP.

Thank you for your help. However the program now stalls on the the loading screen, it won't even load.

Please, can anyone explain why this is happening to me?

I'm not sure about the specifics, but sometimes RMXP files can become corrupted.  I don't know if this is the problem, but you could try running a quick forum search.  Also, check your firewall settings to make sure they're allowing RMXP to access the internet.  It needs to do this the first time it starts up to connect to the server.  That's everything I can think of at the moment.

I've searched, and also I just re-installed it again this morning. The firewall has specifically allowed RMXP to run, I moved it to the "ALLOW" list.

I have no idea what went wrong, It was amazingly fine last month.

You can try doing a system restore from before it stopped working, as a second-to-last resort that is.

Because I uninstalled it, I guess I lost the system restore point.
