Help merging RTAB

Honestly, I hate troubling you guys for my own inaptitude, but having little skill with RGSS (still learning, sort of), I feel that this particular problem is rather beyond my capabilities.

Basically, I'm trying to merge a short cut skill system with the RTAB, without much success, I'm afraid.

To clarify, the Shortcut skill script basically allow you to assign skill to short cut buttons, not unlike what you might find in a MMORPG game, actually. In battle, a stretched window is drawn at the top of the screen, where the icons of skills you have assigned sits, and can be activated via the pressing of the corresponding key. Unfortunately, it didn't seem to be compatible with RTAB.

This sounds like an interesting concept.

The Actor Command Window pops up, and you choose 'Skill'. When that occurs, the bar along the top appears and the player chooses the hotkey he/she has already prepped. And you could probably do this with 'Items' too.

Curious if you were to have it as a vertical menu option (left/right arrow keys to select the skill), or if you do intend to use the number keys along the keyboard top to select the skill. If the latter is the case, you'd need a keyboard script like "cybersam's" as you normally can't use 'em.

You said this was an MMORPG concept (well, Diablo, DiabloII and other ABSs too ;) ), but ("Unfortunately, it didn't seem to be compatible with RTAB"). Did you try this with any other system, like the default? If someone could implement this into a separate script that didn't need you to edit the actual battlesystem you (or anyone) were using... this would be sweet.
 
Well, yeah, there were two Keyboard scripts that came with it. And I did test it out with the default battle system. It seemed to be working fine then.

And I do agree. If someone could implement this into a separate script that does not come into conflict with the battle system, it would be sweet indeed.
