Help installing RTP

I'm new to RMXP so I'm confused on this installation.  I think RTP was installed but when I tried to play a game,  it said that the RunTime package wasn't installed and told me to install RTPe.exe and when I tried to install it, it kept coming up with weird Â

The file you should be installing is "xp_rtp102e.exe" from the enterbrain site.

I assume you do not have RMXP installed. You are only trying to play a game made with RMXP.?

The odd name, and the 'rectangle symbols' lead me to believe that the game you are trying to play was made
with either the Japanese version, or another (pirated) version of RMXP.
If that's the case, you probably need to go back to the source of the game and ask for assistance.

Which game? and where did you get it? I can try it & see if I can get it to work.
