HELP CANT BOOT INTO XP! [solved] :)

    I was resizing my XP Partion in ubuntu with Gparted and it froze so i had to turn off my PC and turn it on again but this time i tried to boot into XP but to no avail it wouldn't start

PS: I Use Grub to Boot :(

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Basically, you are screwed, try and mount the partition in what ever you are using now and extract what data you can, then reformat.

Failed to mount '/dev/sda2': Input/Output error NTFS is  either inconsistent, or you have hardware faults, or you have a SoftRaid/FakeRaid hardware. in the first case run chkdsk /f on  then reboot into windows TWICE. The Usage of the /f Parameter is very important! if you have SoftRaid/FakeRaid then first you must activate it and mount a different device under the /dev/mapper/ directory, (eg. /dev/mapper/nvidia_ eahaabcc1) please see the 'Dmraid' documentation for more details

I Cant do that as i use grub to triple boot and when i select XP it dosnt give me enough time to press F8 and just restarts the computer

You can use the recovery console in the windows xp/2000 boot disc to use a few common repair utilities. You might also try the disk/data recovery utilities on the Ultimate Boot CD. Just be careful not to trash your boot sector while repairing, it's a pain in the ass to get GRUB playing nice  again.

Thankyou all for your help it turns out i couldnt do anything so i left XP behind to catch up with my old Friend Vista Ultimate :)

Now that you have Vista (Which sucks ATM) Try not to resize a partition on your harddrive... seriously... the only time you should even mess with partitions is if your DELETEING them to install a new OS.
