Ah, another RPG Maker forum. I've been thinking about making an RPG maker game for years, and I want to put my thoughts into action now. I've got a custom game system written up, working on storyline and characters constantly, learning to create sprites that don't look like crap, and browsing around to see what game-making application would best fit what I want to do. Once I get enough solid material I'll probably make a blog to sort out updates and whatnot for the game.
I found the forums off a google search for RPG Maker XP resources. It looks promising, enough so that I registered. I'm excellent at writing storylines/characters/etc, creating stat and gameplay systems (the system itself, not the coding and implementing of it), as well as mapping. Most of this skill comes from several years of leading a couple Dungeons and Dragons groups. I'm also learning to create pixel art, and hope to use my own artistic style in the game I'm planning. Outside of RPG making, I'm a music major. I play the electric bass and am currently an undergraduate in college. My interests include photography, hiking and camping, urban exploration, shortwave radio, world travel, graffiti/street art, mythology, and a slew of other things nobody probably cares to hear about. I could make a whole thread about the music I listen to, so I'll just link my Last.fm. When I have time I plan to learn how to write up MIDI files for game music, and my musical tastes will definitely contribute to the kind of music I'd be producing.
I'd rather not list off everything I plan on doing RPG-maker-wise in this introductory post, so I'll stop here. I'd just like to let the forums know that I am serious about making a game from start to finish.
Also, hello everyone. Hope we all get along.
edit: Added some more blabber to my post.
