Heya, guys and girls. I'm new here (obviously) and just want to let you all get to know me if you wish. first, some basic questions:
* What is your history with RPG Maker and the RPG Maker Community?
My sister is an obsessive rpg player, as am I, and she loved using rpg maker xp, in fact, she used to have an account here I think. As for me, I have no real experience with the program yet, though I have it.
* What is your field of expertise in RPG Maker?
I specialize in atmosphere and theme mainly, not necessarily in rpg maker but in general. I'll elaborate on that in a second.
* How did you find the forums?
Like I mentioned, my sister, though she doesnt come here anymore.
* What you hope to get out of the forum?
I hope to meet artists, learn to make my own games, get some experience in my favorite field of all, Music, and of course to be part of a community of artists and creators. (sounds like I made that from a template, huh? That's how I type, sadly xD)
* What kind of creative talents do you have (outside of RPG Maker)?
Music....that's about it. Making it, playing it, and aside from that just socializing and talking...if that's considered a talent.
* What are your hobbies or interests?
Video Games, Music, Music Studies, and of course my friends.
* What kind of music do you listen to?
Hehe, well that's a very extensive answer, but I can sum it up pretty quick in general terms: Jazz, Classical, Metal, Punk, Post-Rock, Blues, Techno (a bit at least), and anything that involves beautiful design or sound.
* What level of education are you in? What are you studying in college?
I am a high school graduate currently unable to afford college, as things are. My brother and I are both working to get some tuition, and our parents are looking for work too.
As for other information, a bit about my personality. I'm a very happy-ish person you could say, I don't like seeing others sad and so I don't like them seeing me sad. I'm also extremely nervous, my foot never stops tapping haha. Ethnically, I'm a mutt, between my great grandparents im 1/8 rwandan, 1/8 finnish, 1/8 Persian, 1/8 israeli, 1/8 Japanese, 1/4 Russian, and 1/8 Brazillian.
Music is my thing, just about the only thing outside of academics i can do. Normally I would write something like metal or punk, but as of late have taken a huge interest in classical and classical themed game music. This is the main reason I am here, I know this place is a good gathering of people who make their own stuff, and I think it would be great for me to learn from this. So any advice, help, criticism (helpful, not just bashing rude) and comments on my work are always welcome
As one last note (I know, I type a lot, nervous, see what I mean?) I'm always happy to collaborate, and help anyone with their projects if they would like their own music, I know this probably belongs in another board, but it isnt really the point of my post so...yeah.
